FROM FARMING TO CONSTRUCTION, THE TARANAWAY STORY SPANS THREE GENERATIONS OF THE KENT FAMILY

TARANAWAY – 1968 – 32,000 acres of grass and gidgee trees near Longreach Queensland is where William “Barney” Kent began 3 generations of home, business and life for the Kent family. Today, and a long way from home, TARANAWAY takes on a different form from its origins of wool and beef production to specialised construction, carrying with it the same values, principals and work ethics from the bush to Brisbane.

Taranaway is a residential and commercial building company specialising in complex and creative construction – “We want to be challenged by what we build and proud of the result, it’s as simple as that.” So far in our short history, Taranaway has rapidly developed into a nationally recognised award- winning construction company and continues to take on every opportunity that walks through the door. With care as the core philosophy, progression is the only direction and the company’s tally of successful projects and cherished relationships continues to grow – “Our relationships are a measure of our success.

Taranaway would be nothing without the people in our journey and the opportunities they bring with them. If you care then you end up doing it right, and for us, doing it right means quality construction through an enjoyable process for our clients.”
